Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Certification

Certified Flight Instructor
(CFI) Certification

The Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate is your gateway to a professional career in aviation. As a CFI, you’ll gain valuable flight time, refine your piloting skills, and shape the next generation of pilots. At Rising Wings Aviation, our CFI program prepares you to teach with confidence and clarity.

Why Pursue a CFI Rating?

A CFI certificate is a crucial step for aspiring airline and commercial pilots. It allows you to:

  1. Instruct student pilots and log flight hours
  2. Develop deeper knowledge of aerodynamics, regulations, and flight operations
  3. Get paid to fly while building your career
  4. Join a growing network of professional aviators

Program Overview:

  1. Ground school focused on teaching techniques, regulations, and flight instruction methods
  2. Emphasis on lesson planning, flight briefings, and student evaluation
  3. Flight training in single-engine aircraft
  4. Preparation for both the FAA oral and practical exams

Entry Requirements:

  1. Commercial Pilot Certificate
  2. BasicMed can be used as a CFI but with specific limitations according to BasicMed rules
  3. Current flight review
  4. Strong command of FAA knowledge areas (FARs, aerodynamics, airspace, etc.)

Checkride and Certification:

Your CFI checkride will test both your ability to fly and to teach:

  1. Oral Exam: Lesson plans, FAA regulations, fundamentals of instruction (FOI)
  2. Flight Test: Demonstration of teaching key maneuvers and emergency procedures

Cost

At Rising Wings Aviation Inc., we understand that no one appreciates underestimates or sugarcoated costs. During your New Student Consultation, we provide a thorough breakdown of all flight training expenses, ensuring you’re never left with unexpected surprises.

Compared to similar flight schools nationwide, we are confident that our programs deliver exceptional efficiency and value. Over the years, countless students have told us, “You get what you pay for with flight training.” Unfortunately, many schools advertise only their bare minimum pricing and offer no apologies when actual costs exceed those estimates.

Because training times often go beyond the FAA’s required minimum hours, it’s essential to choose a flight school that sets honest and realistic pricing expectations. Rising Wings Aviation Inc. is that school.
